Coolant low after track

So after a couple of 20min sessions last time at Calabogie I found my coolant to be low, as in the AST was pretty much empty, after driving it back home. Last time I was under the car I noticed the lower rad hose was a bit wet where it connected to the block but I don't think that would be enough to do this.

I filled her back up after the last two drives in town that I took with it and now it is at the top level and stays there. Checked it many times after wards to make sure it wasn't going back down/burning it. Car runs perfect with no issues at all.

So my question would be is it normal for these cars that the coolant would go down after a few sessions on track? or is this just caused by my leak?

Thanks

Oil, yes. Coolant no.

Probably. Get a pressure tester or take it somewhere to have them pressure test the cooling system for leaks. Most likely you have a leak that happens either under pressure or heat (or possibly both).

You should not be knowingly tracking your car with any kind of leak, especially coolant or oil. Period. It's a hazard to yourself and others on the track...... sorry for the lecture, but if we were on the same track I wouldn't be a happy camper.

Amen, i lost my VR FD to someone that did this. Had a coolant leak from a cracked hose but still decided to track their car andwhen the hose finally let go and leaked coolant all over the track when i was chasing them down and caused me to slip and spin with no way of saving her.

I dont know why people dont run water with water wetter when going to the track. it saves time with clean up as well.

There were no visual leaks and still aren't, which is why I found it odd that it was low. I wouldn't run on track with a leak. I only pointed out that the one hose had a slight sweat that was turning into a leak which is the only place I am assuming it went to but I really don't know.

As I said I've driven it around town a few times now since then and the coolant level is always fine so it is a bit odd that it only happened on track but I will take a closer look at it soon. Water temps never went higher than 212f on track either.
