coolant light question

So, I was driving around the other night, and when I was stopped at a red light, my coolant light/alarm came on, and then went off after about 5 sec. I pulled into a parking lot to check things out. The overflow tank was full, and I could see coolant in the water pump. It's never done this before, and it seems a little strange. It happened just as the car was getting warmed up. Does anyone know what might cause this?

Cheers,
Dale

Hows it looking at the filler neck? The buzzer comes on when the coolant level drops below the sensor.

If the coolant level is ok then it suggests you have a dodgy sensor or connection.

In this piccy:

Its the bit with the wire 2.5" - 3" from the top of the filler neck.

Keep your eye on it, when mine started doing it I later discovered it was a knackered turbo coolant hose. That would leak once the car got warm.

Hopefully it was just an air bubble working its way out of the system and nothing else
