'93 touring with 40,000 miles recently purchased and driven 150 miles over 2 weeks. After a drive with driving alittle hard, I now have a coolant leak just above the driver's side of the forward cross member. I see the dripping down from here (while under car)and cannot see where it is coming from. I have to get a different jack to fit under the RX 7. Any thoughts on what could be dripping? The car idles fine, no oil in coolant, and all systems work.

 

If you have the stock airbox still, remove the top lid. Squeeze the top radiator hose while the car is off -- that will get you started on where to look for the leaks.

 

Look for it leaking around the end tanks on the radiator. Could be trickling down near the cross member. Usually starts to leak a few minutes after parking it when the heat and pressure build after shut off.

 

check the line to the ast or check the ast itself your ast might have cracked or is leaking from the line to the radiator
