Question coolant buzzer question...

Why would my add coolant buzzer just randomly go off? I have checked my fluid level and I cant possibly add any more to the reservoir or the filler neck and the wires look good. How many sensors are there that would cause the buzzer to activate? Thanks for the help.

There is just one level sensor. If the level of the coolant is actually above the sensor and it still goes off, try replacing it.

If the sensor is good and your coolant seals are in good condition, it could just be air in the system.

If there is some air in the system, would the buzzer go off for a certain amount of time? Shouldn't the AST remove all the air? I will go over the whole wire as well as the connector...... thanks

There are 2 sensors, not just one for the buzzer. Anyone want to bet me on that?

There are two likely possibilities:
1. There is a leak in the cooling system. Find the leak and consider yourself lucky.
2. This is the bad one, you got a bad water seal, rebuild time. Look for a puddle just infront of the passenger side front wheel and fine bubbles in the coolant at the filler neck.
Do a search on keyword coolant, you'll find all the info in the world.

good luck
