Coolant Buzzer Nightmare - Yes I searched - Please Help!

I've been doing some research for over three weeks now. I've pm'ed people with that had similar problems and I think I've tried it all. I tried grounding the sensor, unpluging it, and following the black/red wire back to the wiring harness. So I discovered this... The wire goes into the harness but on the other end that's supposed to go into the sensor it's unhooked/ripped.

Then I noticed this wire down under where power steering lines go. It's unhooked as well. It has a blue fitting like it was tapped into another wire once before. What's this wire for???

And I also found this wire. It has a "female" end and it plugs into the wire harness right on the outside. See pic. What is it for? Where does it go?

And while we're all looking at connections and things.... I noticed this was unhooked and hooked it back up. I'm not sure what it's for. It's right in front of the uim, by whe the throttle cable connects. What's it for, what does it do... I've lost count how many times I asked that.

do you have a/c? that kinda looks like the ac connector.

as for grounding the wires to turn the buzzer off... something no one has probably told you

it dosent go off as soon as you ground the wire, it takes a good 15-20 seconds of being grounded before the buzzer will shut off..

I went through hell before i figured this out.

best thing to do with wiring issues like this that ive found is to make a friend with a fd and use his car as a visual reference (assuming his car isnt fubar'd)

That explains it, I did take out the AC.

I am thinking the black/red wire that's unhooked is the culprit. I don't know where it connects to. I traced the sensor's black/red wire to a roll of wires that goes under the UIM, then I loose it from there. Then I followed the roll of wires to the bigger harness and discovered the black/red wire unhooked/ripped. I don't know what I should do. I tried connecting it to the sensor but it didn't make the buzzing go off, then again I didn't hold it longer then 15 seconds.

I know it sounds stupid, but check your coolent level just in case because if it goes below a minimal leval (like 3 inches below the cap) the buzzer will go off.

Im having the same problems and its annoying.

Well, I've check many many times, the coolant is all the way up to the top. This didn't start until we did my injector upgrade. I think when we were fooling around with the UIM off, we may have ripped or unhooked a wire. It started to buzz right after we installed the new injectors.

I was having problems with my buzzer going off too. I finally found out it was faulty and ever since I installed a new engine harness that problem went away.

I was just talking to Godzilla-T78 and he grounded the brown/white wire that goes directly to the buzzer. He says it's on the chassis harness. Anyone have a pic?

OK! I figured how to turn it off. Going by what Godzilla-T78 said, I tapped into the brown/white wire coming from the two harnesses on the driver's wheel well and I grounded it it. It works! No buzzer, no light, no more headaches! Thank you for the quick fix.

does grounding the brown/white wire turn the little light off or just the buzzer?

It turns them both off. And yes, I always keep a close eye on the temp gauge, and I'm also buying a hand held or dash unity for my Microtech to keep a closer eye on the temp.
