Coolant buzzer...Help!
I just did my rebuild project, everythings working great. Im just having troubles with my coolant level buzzer. I know the coolant level is full, but the buzzer wont go off, or will the indicator light on the coolant temp gauge. Can somebody tell me where the sender unit is for the coolant level. I might have not hooked it up or something. Thanks.
First thing check if its pluged in, mine always comes undone when I take things apart.
Follow the wire from the black sensor below the bottle neck(coolent cap). Look under the UIM, the female wire will come off the main cluster strand of wires.
If its connected, it could be your sensor is gone, low fluid, or your missing a plug down the line, when you took it apart. Look over your plugs and any wires you disassembled.

I remember once there was a wire by the spark plugs area that got disconnected & it set off the low coolant warning. When you reconnect it, it takes a few seconds for the warning to go off, ie the buzzer doesn't stop the instant you reconnect the wire.
Yea, there are 2 connectors that will cause this (I just went through this crap).....The first is the sensor on the filler neck (with the single wire connection) and the single wire located near the plugs. I changed my plugs and somehow disconnected the plug and my light and buzzer stayed on till I searched and these helpful forum folks pointed me in the right direction....................

I've had this problem twice. Once when I broke the wire to the coolant level sensor during my FPD replacement and vacuum tubing replacement. I just spliced in a new piece of automotive grade 16ga. wire.
Another time when I flushed the coolant and didn't burp the system completely. I parked the car on an incline (about 20 - 30 degrees) and reburped. Never heard it again.
