coolant buzzer
Hi,just bought a 93 rx7 ,had it compression tested yesterday with good results, however when i got into the car and started the engine the coolant buzzer went off,got the mechanics to check things out but they said they hadn't messed with the coolant, the levels are all correct and i'm taking the car back tomorrow to get them to sort it.I'm really worried that they've wrecked my new car.i've took out the sensor and cleaned it etc, should i worry that these idiots have cooked my engine. The buzzer is constantly on.

curious, what were your compression numbers on each rotor?
did you take your FD to a rotory specialist/mechanic or jimbobs auto repair down the street?
one of the first things many new FD owners do is replace the coolent sensor and/or gauge, it tends to fail after some time.

Loosen the AST cap, open the engine cap and check the level there. Add coolant. You may just have air in the system. Don't forget to close the AST cap.

Mine does it too.....I just add water and it stops. If the coolant buzzer stays on then it is shorted somewere. Easy fix.

Directly behind the power steering pump and A/C compressor you will find a single black wire with a black connector, I will guarantee that they separated the connection by accident while performing the comp test on the front rotor. Connect them back up and the buzzer should stop.
