coolant/antifreeze leak
i am new to rx7's and mine has just seemed to develop an anti-freeze leak! how should i find out where its coming from and what should i do to fix it>?! please help! thanks -Jeff
If you don't have a pressure tester handy, put the car up on some jacks, then remove the plastic guard under the engine.
Wipe dry any fluid, and check around the hoses where they clamp.
Go out and drive for a bit, then park on a level section of pavement. make sure its clean under the car, or lay some paper or something under it. then wait for the drips. that can give you an idea of where its at least dripping from. Then get back under the car and check theings out. You might be able to at least narrow the possibilities down. If your hoses are old, then they tend to leak where you clamp them. if the rad is bad, then you might see what looks like a wet area around a certain section.
and yeah, it could be the water pump, but don;t just start replacing stuff randomly!
