Arrow controlling boost on stock ecu...

well my rotary performance ecu went bad for some reason or another it has been fine but went into limp mode with no coming back. well for ***** and giggles i intalled my friends stock computer which solved my problem and my car runs fine. it has been on the car for 4 days but im having a problem controlling boost. well i havent exactly figured out how to set my DNA manual boost controller i would figure screwing it in would create more resistance and more boost but it seems to be the other way around. i have it screwed most of the way in right now bc im only wanting to run about 8 or 10 psi. well my pattern on non. seq. is about 6 psi until about 5500 RPMs then it creeps to somewhere around 12 and hits fuel cut. i know thats common with stock comp. and straight through exhaust but should it be controllable since i have a controller? should i be able to set the controller and it hold whatever boost even with stock ecu and straight through exhaust?...

No, you are boost creeping. No controller can solve that. You'll either have to port the wastegate or add a restrictor plate to the exhaust if you want to keep the midpipe.

It doesn't. It's just that with those ecus, it doesn't matter if you boost over 10 psi.

Chipped and reprogrammed ecus generally remove the code for fuel cut, sometimes rev limit as well. Sometimes they richen up the mixture on top as well. THis is why you can get away with creep and higher boost on a chipped ecu, though it still isn't safe per se because it isn't tuned for your specific setup.
