VA confusion on FPD and fuel feed/return line

I have read numerous threads on recommendations of eliminating the FPD cause of leakage and engine fire.

Since I have taken out the fuel rails for the injectors to be cleaned, I'm following the DIY project from Banzi:

http://www.banzai-racing.com/pd_elimination_how-to.htm

Now I've also read up on various threads on having to do this FPD elimination and getting an aftermarket FPR, my question is:

Do I need to get an aftermarket FPR? I am planning on sticking to the stock setup for now, so I do not want to make the purchase for an aftermarket FPR and I've read that the stock FPR can handle up to 300+ HP. Can I stick with the stock FPR with the FPD eliminated.

Also, about the fuel hoses, which side houses the high pressure line, I've looked through the FSM and dispite the diagram being small and hard to trace. (A) Does the high pressure side come to the FPR to the secondary rails or (B) does it go to the FPD first to the primary rail?

I'm trying to finish my fuel pressure sensor install and now would be a great opportunity to complete this as well. According to Defi, the sensor need to be plumbed on the high pressure side.

many people have eliminated the FPD and continued to use the stock FPR with no problems

Thanks for the assurance.

Now do you know which side of the fuel hoses is the high pressure side vs the low pressure side

I understand why you think its backwards... but realize that the fuel goes to the Primaries first... then the secondaries... I don't think it makes that much difference...

I do think it would have been better going the opposite direction.. main reason, less heat on the intake manifold compared to on the top of the block, meaning the fuel stays cooler, and theoretically could help produce more power (assuming the fuel helped cool the front of the rotor....)
