Question confused on turbo simplification

Quote: "11. The orange line that seems to go to nowhere goes to the back side of the upper intake manifold (it should be obvious, just thought I’d mention it before someone asked)."

My question is why does the orange line goes to upper intake manifold? Doesn't is introduce pressure to IM, when not needed, or doesn't it cause low vacuum at idle?

It's actually goes to the Lower Intake Manifold, on a nipple that isn't in the diagram. You see those four hoses on the top left of the LIM? Those hoses go straight through the LIM and don't connect to the intake air ducts. The actual nipple isn't in the diagram, but it goes to the check valve and then the pressure chamber.

Thanks,

I have contacted Wade as well.
I think the text needs to change from UIM to LIM, so nobody else got confused or got problems

so the "orange" hose connects to a "t" before the check valve but after the LIM? or does it connect to a hard nipple on the other side of the LIM?

very confused here

thanks

not a T.
The orange hose would go one way to the check valve to the pressure tank. It does so by going thru the nipples in the LIM, so from the left side of LIM to the right side of LIM. I believe its the top nipple of 4 row of nipples.
