compression test w/ piston tester..did I do it wrong?

Just wanted to let you know I figured out my problem and it turned out to be the water temp sensor. $30 at autozone. If it turns out your motor isn't blown, give that a shot.

oh yes. I would start it up and the engine would pull 8-10 inHG and sound like it was running on one rotor. throttle response was terrible. weird thing was it was intermittent...it would clear up in no time at all. then next time I started it after sitting for about an hour it would come back and then go from **** to fine in 1 second flat.

I am having the same problem, I think its carbon build ups. I haven't driven my car hard a long time because of NYC. Just yesterday it started having symptoms alot like yours. I am going to try the MMO.
