I got a compression test done yesterday, the mechanic read them out to me all between 6 and 6.5, I asked him how they scale this he said it has good compression. I did a quick search on this got all kind of different numbers, so i was wondering if anybody could tell me if these are good or lead me to a prevous post.

IMO you don't owe him a dollar unless he hands you a printout of the compression testing machine, or a clear 6 numbers with units of measure. If those numbers are in kg/m² then they're acceptable but not 'good'. He owes you more than a yes/no answer when you specifically request a compression test.

He is going to give me the readout today, acceptable meaning that the engine will perform fine just not perfect or is a rebuild almost due?
