Compression Test --Cost????

Checked at one of the local Mazda dealers, since I know they have the right equipment.

They quoted me $197 to check the compression -- seems like a lot of money.

Anyone know what the going price is elsewhere?

thanks

Given that they should be able to do it in 30 minutes (including setup time), it is a lot of money. A DIY test with a compression gauge will not be quite as accurate as a test with a Mazda compression tester but it will be pretty close.

Contact Pettit Racing or contact Crispeed on the forum if you are near Miami. You have a lot of real rotary mechanics near you if you are in FL.

that sounds like a lot. for a 30$ comp gauge you can do it yourself.
