VA Complete electrical power loss - short-term

Hey everyone. The car had been running excellent until this hiccup on Friday. After a short drive and filling up the car (it's fully warm), I start it up and pull out of the gas station. As I do, I notice that the stereo flickered off and on as I went over some bumps in my rush to make the light. The car might have micro-stalled too, it just happened so fast I don't know exactly. I drive the half mile to my place re-playing what just happened in my head and as soon as I pull in to park, the car just shuts off. As in completely off/zippy power......windows down with storm clouds brewing and all. Absolutely no power whatsoever to the car. Dome lights are off - everything is down and out....like someone snipped the power supply. I pop the hood and check the main fuses and everything looks fine - connections are clean, nothing loose, fuses intact.

After about five minutes of sitting in the car pondering my next move, I notice that the dome lights are back. I start it up fine and everything is back to "normal."

Looks like I will have to do a full electrical work-up eventually since Russian Roulette with the RX is never fun. What do the experts think?

Thank you in advance.

Hmm, first thing first. Load test that battery of yours and see the result. I've had this problem on a customer's bmw before. Found out that the battery has an internal short that when reaching certain temp and during bumpy maneuvers the car would die out with no power.

Replace the battery and it was all good =). Good luck.
