Cold start problems
My fd just reached 60,000 miles yesterday. I have been having a little problem starting it in the morning. It has a hard time ideling, i have to press the gas for about 5 seconds to reach normal idle position or else it feels like its going to die on me. But when the car is in normal running temperature, it does not have this problem. Also there is white smoke comming out of the exhaust when I first start it, but it goes away when its warmed up.
What is it?
Thanks,
Eric

when was the last time you changed your plugs? it could be your fuel filter however if it idles fine when warmed up, it cant be that..
how cold is the cold start? are you starting your car below freezing temp or something?
recently since im not driving my car since theres snow, i been starting my car like an idiot at almost the coldest part of the day (4-6pm) when its like 15-20 degrees and it does idle funny for about 10 seconds, i hit the gas a bit and it goes normal and stays normal from then on..smoke lasts quite a while due to the cold weather but turns to nothing after about a good 8 minutes..
