are you running an ignition amp?

are you replacing all 3 coils?

what are you trying to accomplish?

depending on answers to the above questions you could:

replace your fd coils w used (almost all fd coils are used) good condition OEM coils from the forums classified. they are a dime a dozen. you would do this if you are not running a cd amp. OEM coils do not work well w an amp. w a good set of plugwires and the proper plugs the stock ignition is easliy good for 375+ rwhp.

replace the leading coil w a FC leading twin post coil which is a bit more robust. o k w a cd amp but still not recommended.

if you have an amp look carefully at what msd offers for their "6" series of ignitions. you will find a twin post motorcycle coil which will work w your amp on the leading plugs.

if your want close to the max in ignitions i recommend the 2 Jacobs FC3000 amps and 2 MSD HVC2 PN8253 coils w MSD's 8.5 Super Conductor plugwires PN 31159. not only does the Jacobs outpower the MSD 6+ but it has an acceleration-sensing circuit that ramps up the output and then lowers it when you get off the gas thus saving your plugs and coils. the 8253 MSD coil is amazing both from output but also from a spark duration which is 2 to 4 times other coils. i run the above setup. one amp and coil on each leading plug and the OEM ignition on the trailing plugs.
