Coilover options?

I have stock 93 Touring. Looking to replace the worn out shocks/struts with coilovers. I'm interested in lowering the car slightly. And I only drive it for fun. It's not a daily driver, nor do I plan to ever put it on the track. But I do drive rather "sporty" let's just say.

I'm like to get some input/recommendations from the group.

APEXi N1 EXV
HKS Hipermax S
HKS Hipermax Max IV SP
ISC N1 Street
TEIN Street Advance Z
TEIN Flex Z
Ohlins DFV Road & Track

Budget isn't too big of a concern, but I don't want to spend money for performance characteristics I don't need.

based on what youre looking for, the flex z will more than make you happy. for "regular" street driving the flex z cant be beat especially for the price. you can drop the car on its frame or have it be close to stock height and you also get dampening adjustability from pure race car to toyota camry.

the street advance is more of an OEM+ option. you have to transfer over stock parts to use them. theyre ok but theres no reason for them when the flex z exists for not that much more. never heard of the ISC. i have the hks on my own car and they are right in line with what you would expect from something with an hks badge on it. the ohlins are the definition of the "I don't want to spend money for performance characteristics I don't need" for your situation.

get the flex z and never worry about it again. they are outstanding.... i have them on my other fd which i daily so i speak from experience.

So you can make it Camry smooth if you want? I dont want to soft but I dont want it to be like these kids with bad coilovers that you can visibly see bouncing down the road.

TEIN Flex Z.

The TEINs are the only ones on the list that are non-performance style twin tube dampers which means they have less "stiction" or seal drag than performance style mono tube dampers and will ride smoother than all besides the high end/expensive Ohlins.
