Fog light wiring harness exact routing?

After 20 years from owning a brand new 1993 RX-7 Montego Blue Touring and selling it (regrettably) 5 years later, I just bought my second 1993 RX-7 Montego Touring (well hello mid-life crisis!). A previous owner had removed the fog lights and I'm trying to add them back. The brackets are still there, as is the fog light wiring harness. I was able to buy a used set of the lamps themselves.

I can see the entire fog light harness and open ends of the connectors laying in the area behind the bumper, when viewing from around the hood latch. But I can't figure out how they were originally routed to the fog lamp locations. I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this. Pictures would be a bonus. I've Googled just about everything I can think of, but all I've been able to find is a general diagram of wiring harness locations. It doesn't show the exact routing path.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The connector near the hood latch goes to a harness that tie to a beige tube, that harness split the source to both foglights.

Yes, I have the fog light harness with the beige/white looking tube. I can see both connectors for the fog lights, they are tucked in behind the bumper with the rest of the harness. I need to figure out where to run these wires to get them back to the fog light brackets. Looks like the previous owner just shoved them back through the hole they went through, and now I can't find where that was.

The foglights mount onto the under side of the rebar, and the harness run inside the rebar to both fogs.

I cannot find any opening to feed the wires through, from where the wiring harness currently is, to where the fog lights mount.

Probably worth removing the front bumper skin so you can actually see what's going on. It's going to be impossible for us to tell you where he shoved the connectors. They could have been tucked up behind the bumper rebar or something that you can't see/get to without removing the skin.

I can see where he shoved them. I can see the entire fog light wiring harness and both of the ends with their connectors for each fog light all together behind the bumper where the fog light harness normally is mounted. I just need someone to look at the fog light wiring harness of their vehicle to see if they can tell the route where each end of the harness appears to travel from where the fog light wiring harness is mounted to where the fog lights mount. There has to be some holes somewhere for them to feed through. I'm really hoping to be able to figure this out without having to take the entire bumper off.

If memory serves, the "Y" harness for the fog lights is inside the front rebar. It clips into the bottom of the inside of it. I think the connectors just come around the rebar from the back.

^ Yup, I don't remember any special way to run the wires. The harness stays inside with the connector clipped to the rebar, and the foglights wire reaches up to make the connection.

I removed mine several years ago when I went V-mount, unfortunately I didn't take any picture of it so this is just going by memory, I know I use the foglights mounting point to secure the mesh screen for the bumper opening.

The fog light wire definitely doesn't reach up to where the harness is. The wire is barely six inches long and it mounts on the side of the bracket that the fog light mounts to. The harness has two wires coming off of it on either end, which route down (somehow!) to the fog lamps wire connector. Like I said, I can't find any opening to route the wires coming off the harness to down where the fog lights mount.

Here’s a couple pics of the wire routing. It just tucks down under the air guide foam directly from the end of the fiberglass rod on each end to the connector on the bottom. Tight fit over the back of the bumper support.

Good day,

I am having the same problem; the previous owner removed the footlights; I bought two fog lights, and the wiring is short and difficult to connect to the harness. ctirwin can you provide some pictures?

Thanks,
Rob

@NYCPLUMBER do you still need pics? I can try to take some in the next day or so. The ones from the post above showed me what i needed. They just feed through some foam between the two black pieces that overlap.
