Use the FSM (I would also suggest heating them in an oven and testing them):

excuse my noob question, i dont understand electrical at all... but in order to test the leading coil, i use the multimeter and put the red and black prods in L1 then do it again for L2? or red prod in L1 and black prod in L2 (or vice versa)???

FSM looks very straight forward. Test resistance on A + B, then test resistance on L1 and L2. Also it doesn't matter which way you've got the red and black. One in L1, the other in L2. I could be wrong too, I'm a noob.
