Coil packs

I needs some advice, my ignition is giving out on me and if i go past 5000rpm at full throttle, knocking becomes a problem. i was just wondering how hard is it to change them and what are some decent coil packs (LS1?*) because im tight on cash because of my recent engine fire.

If you're getting ignition breakup (I'm assuming not actual knock, just stuttering/loss of power) you've either got a flaky coil pack, bad coil pack harness, or bad plugs/wires.

Best bet for replacement is a good used set of coilpacks, especially on a budget. Running different coil packs would be tricky.

A new updated coil pack harness solves all kinds of weirdness, but it's about $80 or so new.

Of course, if you had an engine fire, you might have other crap that's damaged that's causing the problem.
