Clutch: where goes the small steel ball?

Changed my master cylinder two weeks ago and I didn't put the small steel ball back in the line.

Where am I suppose to put it? Is it really useful?

Is it the ball that goes under the bleed nipple on the clutch slave? I haven't taken apart an FD slave, but I seem to remember FC slaves were like that.

Not sure, but Mazda spent good money to put it in there, there's probably a reason for it . I imagine the clutch would work fine, that probably only comes into play when bleeding the clutch. Shouldn't be too hard to put back in there.

Yes but finding it in the garage was a PITA!

I've put back that tiny steel ball, thanks!
