Clutch Switch

Clutch Switch
Ok, got this FD here and the previous owner said he disabled/wired the clutch switch up... or some ****. Anyways he said he wired it up so the car starts without pushing in the clutch. This somewhat bothers me and i'd like to send it back to normal.
If anyone knows what the hell he did, let me know.. or how to put it back to factory.
Thanks

The clutch switch has a white button that is depressed when the clutch pedal is all the way up. When you step on the pedal, the button pushes out, and you can start the car. The button also acts to shut off your cruise control when you step on the clutch. I can't say for sure what he did. It's simple to remove the switch from where it is normally bolted on. You just remove the nut that holds it in place, and move it out of the way. If that's what he did, just put it back. If the cruise control works, he did something else.
Anyway, the switch goes on the "stopper" that keeps the clutch from coming up any higher.
Hope this helps, Adam

On that switch... follow the wires back to the connector. It is probably just unplugged and a "jumper" wire installed on the wire harness side . Remove that and plug it back in.There it is! This is how I have done it in the past when that switch was acting up.

It's a damn annoying switch. I'd just leave it unplugged. Wait until you do radiator/cooling system work and have crap all over your hands, etc. and need to start the car to check/test/bleed/whatever.
Without the clutch switch you can just keep it in neutral, reach in and turn the key.
