Clutch smell in reverse

Guys,
I had a Racing Beat HD disk put in with a new stock PP and Throw out. It has always made a bad smell after even a short distance in reverse. There is also a slight grind/moan noise in reverse, but that is very faint and may not be related. It has always worked well on the street and road course and has been on for about 1500 miles. I never launch hard, but did the other day and it slipped badly. There was no apparent damage, other than stinking, but it concerned me. I did a few 3rd gear pulls, to check it, and it holds fine.
Any ideas?
My mods are
Pettit intake
Pettit coolcharge II
M2 ECU
M2 SS downpipe
M2 SS catback

TIA,
Charlie

Take your foot off of the clutch when you go in reverse.

HAHA, this is really funny. Thanks for a good laugh this early in the morning.

I used to have that disk on my 2nd gen but with a heavy duty pressure plate... and it too made a bad smell if you slipped it much at all in reverse. It also sucked *** for launching and was very easy to smoke it badly if you didn't basically drop it. Overall I hated that disk! I dunno if it has the same problem in your 3rd gen, but it sounds the same.

I have an ACT in my 3rd gen and it works great so far!
