clutch slave

Does anybody know what the going rate is for a clutch slave cylinder? The Checker web page says about $100 for the cheapest one they have, Pep Boys told me $75, and Victoria British lists it at $49. That cant be for the whole thing can it? Victoria British is never the cheapest on anything are they?
Anybody ever order the VB clutch slave?

I will call Malloy tomorrow and see what they want for it. I just inspected mine and I had no idea they could get so trashed. The rubber boot is shredded and the piston is all cockeyed in there, I dont know how the thing worked at all! I guess now I know why the clutch pedal felt a bit mushey the last couple days.

I would rebuild it but the piston was all cockeyed in there and scored the cylinder walls. The fluid was nice and silvery with the metal shavings.

I called Malloy and the assembly was $85. I went with them since I am certain it is a genuine Mazda part and right in the middle as far as prices go.
