clutch replacement

im planning a clutch replacement very soon....how easy is this job for a DIY....ive done all the work on my car myself and i would like to continue......any special tools needed the clutch .....on my last Rx7 R1it cost about $1000 after parts and labor and i dont intend to do that again.......


any suggestions...thanks

Other then that I havn't replaced the clutch on my 7 yet but should be pretty straightforward if you've replaced a clutch before. Search around for it and you'll dig all kinds of things up on it.

I replaced the clutch on my old Saab and Ford Probe, wasnt all that hard. Did it in one day with the help of my Dad (well, other way around actually, I helped him :P ). I know its not an RX-7, but it shouldnt be too dissimilar, other than the location of the transmission.

replace the clutch fork while you are there. its a $20 part that fails often. search on it for more info.
