I just got a ACT S/S clutch and pressure plate installed. It says on the rxtstore website that it should be about 40% stiffer than stock. I was really surprised to find out it really wasn't much stiffer at all. Im starting to think I got the wrong clutch. But I also don't know if the one that came out was stock. The pressure plate was blue, I dont know if the stocker is blue. When I had a dsm and got a ACT 2800 clutch put into that my left leg doubled in size because of how stiff it was. THis one isnt even close to that. Anybody with an S/S clutch out there let me know what you think.

 

They say the same thing about my ACT clutch, but I'm with you, I don't feel much of a difference in pedal pressure.

 

It's a little stiffer. Drive it for a while, then try a stock clutch again. You will notice a difference.

BTW, The stock clutch is not painted.

Replaced OEM with the ACT s/s. I didn't notice any difference either.

 

yea the press plate fingers dont look any thicker. dont feel it realy either

 

Mine wasn't noticeably stiffer either. It's definitely the ACT clutch though, it has no "slipping" time. It's either in or it's out.
