clutch problem: car makes a rattling noise in neutral with A/C on

if i press the clutch in it goes away.

this is my throw out bearring going bad?

It sounds like a bad throw out bearing.

sounds to me like a pilot bearing. If it goes your slave will go, but you can rebuild the slave.
