hey guys, so i tried to bleed my clutch today and when i start to get some pedal the piston in the slave cylinder pushes to far and pops out. my clutch fork seems like it is working backwards of what its suppost to be. anyone know whats happening, or am i not doing something right?
hey guys, so i tried to bleed my clutch today and when i start to get some pedal the piston in the slave cylinder pushes to far and pops out. my clutch fork seems like it is working backwards of what its suppost to be. anyone know whats happening, or am i not doing something right?
You have one of a few possible problems:
1. You have the slave installed incorrectly. There is a dimple on the fork that the slave piston seats in. If you don't have it in that dimple, it will pop out when pressure is applied to the clutch line.
2. You don't have the throw-out bearing locked into the wedge collar.
3. You don't have the wedge collar locked into the pressure plate.
If you have #3, you have to drop the tranny to fix it. You can check the position of the wedge collar by looking through the bottom inspection plate. First thing to verify is that it's pushed into the pressure plate.
