Clutch Problem

Hi all,I took my car to have the pillow ball joints done today. All was fine ,smooth gear changes,Drove around 48 miles to the shop and had trouble selecting gear when stationary when i arrived.Any how ,Work was done on the pillow *****.Started car and drove home no problems.Has any one had an experience like this.Could it be a heat issue,Bad oil.Any idears would be great.Have fitted a new mazda mastercylinder in the last 200 miles and did have to adjust the push rod to max on the pedal. Thanks,Rix
