Clutch goes to the floor
Ok guys we just installed a new engine. In the process of installing the new engine we put in a new pressure plate throw out barring and clutch. We got every thing back together and went to move the car and put the clutch to the floor and it had no pressure it just stayed there. We pulled the slave cylinder and relined it and put it back in. It does the same thing. It appears that the retainer that holds the through out barring is not holding. Can this be the problem? and if it is, is there any way to fix it without dropping the trans.? Any help is appreciated .

It could be something with the clutch hydraulics, but it kind of sounds like a problem with the the throwout bearing not clipped into the pressure plate.
You can access the throwout bearing and everything through the inspection plate at the bottom of the tranny. This would also be a great way to see if it is truly not clipped in like it should be - with the car on jack stands, watch the release fork while a buddy works the clutch pedal.
If nothing at all is going on in there, I'd suspect the hydraulics, or even something goofy like the slave cylinder isn't bolted up.

OK I did not bleed the clutch. But when we press the clutch down like I said it goes to the floor and fluid goes everywhere. I don’t believe the throw out baring is installed right or it has came unclipped. And I am for sure we bolted the slave cylinder up. And it seems to just pop out when you press the clutch

take out the slave and push on the fork backwards until you hear the bearing "snap" into the collar... just mess with it while looking through the inspection plate until you get it right and its working.

If you've got clutch fluid "going everywhere", you've got a leak in the clutch hydraulics, plain and simple. That will do exactly what you're talking about - clutch pedal will just flop to the floor, since no hydraulic pressure is built up.
If the clutch hydraulics are sound, there should NEVER be fluid coming out. I bet the rubber flex hose going to the slave cylinder was torn when the engine was installed.

Similar prob: I replaced my line with a SS k2rd line and my clutch goes tot he floor and stays there. I previously forgot to flip the fork but have sinde done so. I've tried loosening the nut just a smidgen of a hair and pumped the pedal but that's futile. I tried air in the fluid reservoir with my compressor (and a rag cover) but that didn't help either.

ok guys i just got into it again. The problem is that the snap ring does not hold the throw out bearing in place it snaps in but when u push the yoke or what ever you call it "by hand" it just snaps right back out. When installing the engine we put in a act street stip clutch along with pressure plate and throw out bearing. It is pumping out hydraulics b/c the throw out bearing is snaping out of the pressure plate and the slave cylinder is over extending.

If the wedge collar is not pressed into the clutch/pressure plate before putting the tranny back up, then it's doubful you'll get enough even pressure to push it back in to lock it into place without dropping the tranny again.
Basically, it looks like you are dropping the tranny and you'll need to inspect the wedge collar. If it's damaged in the least, go ahead and replace it with a new on.

Yeah Ray has them, mine came with a frisbee (awesome).
Be sure to check stupid stuff. A shop that did mine said they couldn't figure out the problem for why my pedal wouldn't hold pressure, turned out they installed the flywheel on crooked.

should i buy both peices? does the wedge collar actually go bad? from what i saw in the inspection hole, the wedge collar looked fine, and was still in the PP, it just wasn't connecting, however it didn't, and wasn't, falling out of the PP either. think all i need is a new wire ring?
or should i just buy both?
or should i just buy both?
