Clutch feel problem

Lately a problem arose with my clutch, it just doesn't feel like it use to. I recently installed an Act S/S clutch with a steel braided line and after about 2k it seems to of lost some of its feel to it. Before there was a sharp engagment point and now it seems to become less catchy, it doesn't seem to engage as sharply as before. I am going to try rebleed the line. Any other suggestions would be apperciated thank you

I think re-bleeding is the right thing to do.

I found that a vacuum pump at the slave cylinder worked best for bleeding the clutch - the pedal-pumping didn't get things flowing well.

There are a couple of things in addition to air in the lines that would give a spongy feel:
1. warped clutch disk
2. clutch fork starting to fail (they crack at the locating-pin hole, often due to using a stiffer clutch)

If bleeding doesn't fix it, examine those next.

Two other reasons for softer engagement:
1. It may be just normal break in. Once a clutch is broken in the coefficient of friction gets lower and it is less grabby. If is has basically the same pedal effort as it did new, then most likely the pressure plate is doing it's job.

2. If the clutch was adjusted too far (preload condition), the engagement point will get higher and higher and the clutch will grab less and less until it finally slips.

When I put my reman engine in a few months ago (July) I put a new ACT clutch on. After a couple of months I noticed my shifting was a bit notchy. Bleeding it made a big diff.
I've also been meaning to try dale clark's 15 min. clutch adjustment trick, just havent gotten to it yet. Check out his web site for how to.
