Clutch Engagement

Well having some clutch fun recently. When I keep the clutch pedal pressed in sometimes it won't want to go into gear afterwards. During normal driving its not an issue. Just as long as I don't hold the clutch in for extended periods of time. I rebuilt the slave last year but will be inspecting everything agains (not pulling tranny). I just want to make sure this sounds like a hyrdraulic issue and not a clutch fork or something else. Oh I did bleed the clutch yesterday and still have the issue sometimes. Let me know what you think.

i have a similar issue, i got a exedy hypercarbon twin plate with lightened flywheel etc...

and it has trouble actuating into 3rd gear and only 3rd gear.... is it my syncro? or do you recon it's master cylinder?....... ive had my 3rd gear syncro fixed previously ( warrenty job cuase i bought the car like that)

any ideas??? - possibly not enough hydrolic pressure to engage cluch??? i really dont know...
it ran well when i 1st put clutch in, and wore it in to specs, and recently it's like it has popped syncro again...

i had the same issues, hold the clutch in, the longer you hold it in the worse the clutch worked. it's because fluid is bypasing the master cylinder plunger. in the master cylinder itself. it's an internal leak so you won't see any drips on the ground. fluid gets on the wrong side of the plunger. then when u let back off the pedal the fluid squeezes its way back on the correct side of the plunger. doign a quick shift doesnt give enouhg fluid enough time to seep past the plunger being the reson it apears to work correctly while shifting nornaly. rebuilds don't seem to work for long. i rebuilt 3 masters and the same problem arised about a month later each time. it's cheeper and easier in the long run to buy a reman or brand new assembly

Pretty sure I had the same problem as you, if I held the clutch open for too long it would slowly start to re-engage, the pedal would stick down and the rpms would drop until the engine stalled (if the car was at a stand-still). No fluid leaks or anything. Had the master cylinder replaced and no more issues. Also I drove it home 500 miles from vegas like that haha, you just have to make quick shifts or put it in neutral if you know youll be stopped for awhile.
