clutch in but found more problems. need advice.

as stated. finally got the clutch in. had to redrop the tranny b/c the stupid throwout bearing wouldn't snap into the pressure plate. anyway got it in and when i was bleeding the clutch there was clutch/brake fluid leaking all over the place as my girl pumped the clutch. when the clutch initially strated to slip i noticed fluid on the garage floor by the bell housing. just thought it was the stupid oil pan which leaked all the time. now i m starting to think that the clutch was slipping b/c of the hydraulic fluid leaking.

what could cause the leakage. too dark to see now . so i will take some suggestions. the **** is leaking out of the lower service window.
could it be the master cylinder?
clutch clyinder ?
busted hydraulic lines?

i will tear into her some more tuesday. oh yeah, on top of all this the tranny won't go into 2nd or reverse. could it be b/c i haven't placed gear oil in the shifter unit? sorry for the long post. but any advice is appreciated. kvn

Check the slave cylinder. Sounds like you didn't get it installed onto the clutch fork properly.

the manifold is being made right now

and the cage has started

the fab guy works SLOWWWWWWWW

and yea, if you dont put the slav cylinder rod into the clutch fork, you can push the piston out of the slave cylinder and it will leak like a bitch...but if your clutch is working a little bit that is unlikley
