Small Warning:

I purchased the M2 Stock upgrade clutch and 9 pound flywheel and though it is true that as you increase pressure plate resistance the clutch becomes more of an on off switch, don't let them convince you that the stock upgrade is best for you. The stock upgrade was exactly the same pressure plate and clutch disc that I pulled out my car. So much for an upgrade. However, to be fair to M2, the price was right, and I have not had any problems with slipping. I think the stock clutch is pretty beefy to begin with, but if you are going to do all that work, go for the street/strip by ACT. You can easily become used to the feel of the clutch, and you'll smile every time that sucker locks up.

After 114k miles, my clutch went out. So i decided to rebuild the engine & turbos at the same time as replacing the clutch. I went with the ACT Strrt/Strip (Pettit TKT) and an 8.5# flywheel.

Just got it back last week. Man is that clutch tight!

It only took about 5 minutes for my body to adjust. I love it.

There is one problem. If you have other cars with clutches, you'll have to be careful, because your body thinks it's shifting the RX, (reflex actions & such) and you will think they don't have a clutch. My wife's PT Cruiser is stick & my Daughter's 93 modded Civic is as well.

I got my stuff via Pettit Racing in Ft Lauderdale.

ACT!
