cluster needle

Does anyone know how to take off the needles off the stock gauges?? I want to pull the faces off mine

At least on the tach the needle can be removed by pulling it straight out. However, don't pull on the black center cover as it breaks easily; grab the red portion of needle on both sides of the black cover at the same time and pull. You should also measure/record the needle's height above the face before you start.

All the above is easy. The real problem is maintaining calibration when you remove/replace the needle. If you aren't careful and/or lucky you can easily cause the readings to be off. I have a DIY write-up on reparing the tach that expalins how to minimize the risk, at least for the tach anyway. PM me with your e-mail address if you'd like a copy.
