Exclamation Close call car chase with Redneck Pickup

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here it goes.

I finally got to appreciate the performance of my new FD yesterday on the way home from work. I was on the highway during rush hour in Milwaukee in the right lane with a new F150 in the center lane. This $##@% tried to move into my lane with me in his blind spot. I honked and no response. He kept coming. So, I sped up, honked some more and then flicked him off.

He apparently took great offense to this so he gets right on my tail and starts honking and flashing lights and driving wrecklessly. I see no escape route because traffic sucks so I have to continue with this guy on my butt for a mile. I take my exit and he follows me. I take the second exit and he follows me. Each time, I am stuck behind some slow driver that I can't pass. I now know that he is out to either damage my car when fewer cars are around or force me to pull over to fight. I get to a nearby business park that I know like the back of my hand and there are no cars in front of me. I then let this guy know what a FD can do. I floor it in a 35 zone and am doing over 100mph before he knows what is happening. I look back and see he is at least 1/2 mile behind now but still intent on following me.

I see my right turn coming up really fast, so I slam on the brakes and take a fast right before he even comes into view on the horizon in my mirror. I take a couple more insane turns, pull into my apartment complex next to the business park and let the car cool off. My heart is going a mile a minute, but I should have never doubted the FD. I go out to feel the brakes and they are radiating heat that could roast a marshmallow.

I am not a chicken by any means, but just thought this redneck was not worth my time and I would prove to him the strength of a bone stock FD.

Anyone else have exciting stories?

They allow weapons in a vehicle in your state? That's a big no-no in Wisconsin unless it is taken apart and locked in the trunk.

rednecks

Whitet777- You won't know what a real redneck is until you come further south. I got transplanted from PA a few years ago, so stuff like you described happens all the time. If it aint a Ford or ChevROlay it aint really a (NAS)car. At least where I usually drive, there is enough room to put some distance between me and them ignorant sombitches.

Why do these guys think that they are invincible behind their 2 tons of Detroit iron? Did this guy seriously think he could keep up with me? It is funny what difference a thin piece of sheetmetal can do to a personality.

Just get a concealed carry permit for your state. You can pack a loaded handgun in your car. Also when he comes out of his truck and threatens you with bodily harm you can shoot him in his face. Totally legal.

how 'bout a hillbilly?

Your story reminds me of a time several years ago when I had my FC in Missouri. I keep my boat at Tablerock Lake, and my wife and I decided to take the FC on a trip down there. Between Cassville and Shell **** is an absolutely AWESOME strip of road that is made for sports cars, so I am getting on it pretty hard, taking the curves marked 20 and 30 mph at 50 or so, coming up off some of the little whoops hard enough to unload the suspension.....TONS of fun! Anyway, about 3 miles into the run, this old pickup appears out of nowhere, right on my ***. Laughing to myself, I get on the FC a little more, expecting to smoke this fool.......HA!
I tell ya, this hillbilly could drive, as soon he is PASSING ME, in the curves.....incredible, absolutely insane! And.....I **** you guys not, the passenger is hanging out the window, beating on his door, and tobacco juice is running down his chin and he is whooping and hollering......
I ended up using about 99.5% of my considerable driving skills to get away from this guy, running up to 100 mph at times, hard on the brakes for the curves, back on the gas, repeat.....my wife was totally freaking out, about ready to bail......it was glorious!
I finally pulled out about a half mile lead on the 'billy, but it taught me to NEVER underestimate your opponent!

Whats the deal with these stupid redneck truck drivers with their annoying *** dual pipes. One cut me off the other day and then when I flicked him off he tried to run me off the road. Instead of showing him that my car could woop his trucks *** I just got out at the next stoplight in front of traffic an knocked his *** out an then drove away.

HAHA! Seriously I know it sounds extreme but its all legal. Check it out. You will see. I happen to be former law enforcement as well as a conceal carry permit holder. There are circumstances when you cannot use deadly force but in your situation you could have. I.E. Could not get away due to traffic and feeling threatened with bodily injury from someone. You could have pulled over and gave him the opportunity to drive away. If he stopped and tried to pull you out of your car you would have been legally justified to kill him. Also keep in mind you cannot shoot to wound or mame. When your life or someone elses life is threatened you have the legal right to use deadly force. But you cannot "wing him". IF you want all the details about your rights there are classes and books you can read about your legal rights to protect yourself. Check out your local gun shop they carry all that stuff as well as offer classes to certify you to carry a handgun. Excluding a couple states that think they can take away your constitutional right to bear arms. I do not encourage anyone to kill another person unless its absolutly neccisary to protect yourself or someone else. But at least you have the right.

ZoomZoom is right, You must be "fearing for your life to be justified". I own the gun shop in Ca. that can get you the classes and get you a permit to carry.
