Cleaning Reflective part of Headlight Housing

I installed some Sylvania Silverstars a few months ago after one of the bulbs burned out. I wasn't all that impressed with the color or the brightness of the bulbs (especially compared to the seal-beam Silverstars in my FC). Regardless, the reflective portion of my passenger side seems to be quite distorted. Is this normal? Has anyone tried to take apart the assembly and clean the reflective portion? I recently ordered some new bulbs and will be doing a comparison with the Silverstars, but I just wanted to check on the housing issue...

buy some Raybrig bulbs. Mine light up the road pretty well, but eventhough the FD lighting system sucks *****. No matter what.
