Chrome Filler Neck?

I want to purchase a chrome oil filler neck or a one that I can have chromed or powdercoated.

I've looked for one and haven't been able to find one, maybe I didn't look hard enough. But I was hoping maybe one of you guys that has basically everything chromed in their engine bay could help me.

I have a guy that i'm sending all my other stuff to, to get powdercoated but the filler neck is made of plastic. And if i'm not mistaken the oil filler neck is made of plastic and would melt while being powder coated.

Maybe i'll just spray paint it.

There are places that will Chrome plastic for you. A local buddy of mine had about every plastic piece in the engine bay chromed a few years ago.

I have absolutely no plans, but just curious...would chroming such things as vacuum boxes protect them from drying up and getting brittle from underhood heat, or make it worse?
