The yellow one looks like a miata, the purplish one looks a bit like a jag. I can't imagine that helped much in the handling/curb weight deparment.

holy crap those are hideous. especially the ones that didn't mod the door handles and they're just sticking up by themselves. waste of a beautiful, rare car.

Oh c'mon. They don't look THAT bad. I agree w/ Rich re: the Miata and Jag look...exact same thought crossed my mind. But I wouldn't spend a dime on trying it on my car, that's for sure...

they better have reinforced the body and frame like a ****. These cars are clearly not made for the b pillars to be cut. Structurally think of a milk carton and then cut off the lid, no squeeze from the sides, what happens? It doesn't look bad, just extremely dangerous!!!

Hah! I havn't seen that pic since 1998!! It was for sale down in Miami when I was shopping for a MB Touring. Found one that I bought in Ft. Lauderdale before I went to look at that convertible (it was the last on my list).

Coincidentaly I also tracked down a fantastic set of 17x10 OZ Mitos in 2001, which I still have on my 2nd FD

it would probably be cheaper & easier to take a miata & retrofit rx-7 panels to it. still a huge waste of time!
