Question checking it out

i am looking at buying a 3rd gen sometime this year, i just have to find one for the right price, just wondering what a good price for one would be (preferably in canadian $$$ but i can probably bust out an exchange rate and do it my self) and i gues what would be the best time of year to buy. i have had a 1st and now have a 2nd so it is time for 3 now any help would be great. thanks

From what I see, people tend to overprice the 95s, so you may want to focus on a 93 or 94. Then you have to decide if you want a really rare FD (yellow or even more so, white), or if one of the more common colors would be fine. Do you want it stock or modified?

When I was shopping, I was prepared to spend $15K (US) or so for a stock 94 with preferably less than 60K miles. Check out www.autotrader.com. Of 230 FDs on their site, the average price is $16627, lowest: $4500, and highest: $32500. It's a good way to see what's out there.

Pricing will depend on your area with respect to supply and demand for the FD Rx7.

I would suggest staying away from highly modified FDs. It can become a nightmare. Go to this thread to read about what I mean!--"Need help with PFS computer" https://www.rx7club.com/vforums/show...threadid=22055 I drove this car on track. It runs like sh*t!

Go for a lightly modified one (intake, exhaust, suspension, and reliability mods) like mine (check out my signature weblinks). It has enough upgrades to make me smile, without the headaches and reliability problems of a highly modded one.

Good luck!
