Hey, I finally bought my Rx-7 after years of drooling over one and driving/riding in my friend's rx7. For a factory turbo car the Rx7 is quite a handful, it has enough power to really get someone inexperienced with turbo cars into trouble. Fortunately, I've own a few FI cars before buying my Rx-7. I've owned 2 Mr2 Turbos and 1 Supercharged mr2. For the longest time 2+ years I was building an Mr2 Turbo for over 350rwhp and got frustrated with it and just parted it out. Here's a picture of what the car liked look after I sold the intake manifold/AEM and a few other things.
I bought the car last week from a guy in Owings Mills, MD with cash straight up. I was fortunate to make around 15k from parting out my mr2 turbo!
Its a pretty cruddy picture though!
I plan on just driving the car for a while, hitting up an autocross or two and doing the safety mods for the most part. I've had enough frustrating experiences with custom intake manifolds, Air to Water Intercoolers, AEM's awesome but crazy software, custom fuel rails and etc. to never want to do that again!
I think the Rx7 is an awesome packaged car from the factory once you take care of the radiator, AST and the other safety mods!
Also does anyone know who I need to contact to get my name changed?

Thanks, I will contact an admin pretty soon, I just have to search and see if the name I would like is available.
