Check valves? How many?
Just as the title states...how many check valves are their? Is it wise to replace them all at once? I was thinking about the brass viton seal ones. Thanks.

As for the answer to the original question. I think their are 4 check valves. All of the check valves are located up near the UIM. I'm not sure if there is any benefit to changing them all out at one time or not. Personally I only replace the valves when I notice one of them is bad. I've always been paranoid that I would put one of them on backwards and then cause myself a few extra hours work.
As for replacing them with a different type of check valve. I've been thinking about trying a different type of check valve since the Mazda check valves are so expensive. Do you have any info on these check valves?

I'm going to get a set of 4 McMaster check valves, $9.77 each.
Go to http://www.mcmaster.com and search for part # 47245K32.
Local auto shops do sell "Help" brand check valves and I just installed one but found out that these don't hold up well.
