Check out whats at a local car yard....

Low km S8's for sale at a local dealership. About half way down, two FD's with less than 400km on the dial.

Now, who wants to lend me some money?

I think you're just looking at the wrong one.

The blue one we're talking about is 2 feet off the hatch.

Not sure why the link isn't working for some.......it seems OK to me?

If you're keen to have a peek but can't use the above link, just go to

Looks like the engine bay is blue. Why paint the car yellow if your not going to paint the engine bay.

They didn't make CYM in that year. But I think it's already been pointed out above with the IBM in the engine bay. Why would you paint over the IBM.

Yes they are pricey. If you want one of those for half the price you need to come to New Zealand.

WOW! What a nice selection you have available down under. I was very impressed that there are never registered cars still for sale.

D'0h I didnt look at the engine pics long enough.(That explains why I couldnt find the IBM either). Now I know its pricey, i bet there are cheaper Skylines over there!. And yes who the hell would repaint over IBM?!?!

Side Note: Saw the add again. It's a 2001 the AST is obviusly gonna still be there.

There are no tariffs on imported vehicles. All you pay for is Car + Freight + Tax (GST 12.5%). Unlike you we don't have a car manufacturer industry to protect.

You don't have to pay for compliancing or anything like that? Lucky ******. I can understand protecting a car manufacturing industry, but please......I want a turbo rotary, what Aussie manufacturer can supply that?

Bloody politicians, getting fat off their pensions while I eat crap to support my $500 a day FD habit.

Yeah you do need to pay for compliance but thats only a small amount in the overall cost, about $300ish from memory.
