I noticed you have the greddy pulley kit with a main underdrive pulley. Any cooling problems with that set up or problems with the alternator when sitting idle? What size belt are you using for the alt and water pump?

That radiator looks HUGE. Is it just the angle of the photo or does it stand almost vertical? I see in your sig that it is a Mazdacomp radiator, but it's not the direct replacement is it? How big is that thing?

ErnieT, your car is sick for sure. Did you dyno it while it was up there?? Just wondering if you hit 500rwhp yet. I used to work down in Owings Mills which I doubt is even close to you, but I am looking for another job somewhere in MD right now. Anyways, I hope I don't end up next to you at a stop light.... I consider my car pretty quick but again your car is just sick..

First, ErnieT the car looks great. Mmmm... big turbo. I look forward to reading about your experiences at the drag strip with the new setup.
I've got the UR main pulley and the SR underdrive pulleys for the WP and Alt. Without the larger WP pulley, there would be very little contact and I am pretty sure it would slip. Even with the larger pulleys, the anodization has worn off after a few track events. I suspect that it might slip a little, but I haven't had any major problems with that setup. I use a Gates K050295 or K050290 belt. I can't remember which length it is right now, but I think only one of those will be a valid part number. I bought it at a local auto parts store that I located by using the distributor locator thing on the Gates site. None of the other local shops had a 5-rib belt in the right size, but the Gates distributor was able to special order it and get it the same day for about $10.
I am switching to Evans NPG+ coolant, so I'm going to switch back to the stock main pulley and stock WP pulley to increase the speed of the water pump and reduce the chance of slipping. I've had no problems with the alternator being underdriven, and keeping the larger alternator pulley will increase contact on the WP pulley, so I am keeping the larger pulley on there.

Thanks guys. As far as the radiator goes, its a regular Mazdacomp inverted. Dave says I won't have any cooling issue's with the pulley setup. Havn't had it long enough to tell. After I re-coop awhile, I'll polish the inside of the engine bay. Right now, Im tapped!
