so yeah, i was driving along and my gas light was on for a bit but i was trying to get to the cheaper gas station next to my house (this was last week when 91 octance was $2.30~ something) when my check engine light came on. i went maybe 2 more blocks and made it to the gas station.

when i filled up it said i filled up a total of 18.59 gallons. i forget what the capacity of the tank is but i think that means i was almost completely empty. is this what caused my check engine light to come on? oh yeah, and after i filled up the light did not come on and hasn't since (it's been a couple of days).

please tell me my engine isn't going to blow up next week. thanks.
