check, check, 1, 2.....

check valves....while trying to find the culprit of my boot leak, lack of boost, whatever for 2nd turbo, I decided to make sure my check valves work correctly. recently did the silicone hose job (most of it, anywy, some left), didnt break anything, but as a normal guy with normal resources, how should I make sure my 2 check vavles are working correctly?

put up to mouth....

try to blow through one side.....see that it blows through
try to blow through other side.....see that it does NOT blow through.....

theyre just little one way valves...

if it blows through both ways or rattles a lot while youre blowing through it, i would get a new one....

You need to get a mighty vac. It is a little vacuum pump available at just about any parts store. The mouth method will work for checking some small stuff like check valves but you also need to check the actuators for the precontrol and turbo control actuator.
The mighty vac will allow you to apply vacuum and see if they work.
