Cheapest way to fix passenger handle?
My outside door handle broke off in my hand earlier.
Whats the cheapest way to this?
Whole new assembly? Or can I replace the handle portion only?
Thanks

EDIT: Ok, I'm dumb...thought you were talking about the inner passenger door handle. Deleted my post.
I recently was on RHDJapan and saw the outer door handle assemblies go for a good price.

Replacing the handle only will do. The thing is most (if not all) aftermarket handles are not the same color/shade as the OEM one so you may want to replace the driver side handle too to match them.
I bought such handles from ebay which were made in Canada and they worked just fine.
But if you can find the OEM assembly sub 100 probably better to go this route instead.
EDIT: the ones I got were aluminum as opposed to the OEM plastic

Generally the plastic handle will break because of the increased resistance caused by worn handle linkage. Replacing the handle only is a bit of a bandaid... A temporary fix. If you want the handle to work correctly for another 20 years you should replace it as an assembly with a new part.

I was able to fix it with only a plastic washer I made from an old oil jug and some silicone grease like I showed in the post below. I didn't have to drill and tap as indicated in this thread:
