Chassis Range
Does anyone know how to identify the year/month of manufacture of a jap originated vehicle chassis number?
FD3S 110080
FD3S 113217
I'm sure certain numbers denote the build date.
Thanks

on the us models you can't really tell when it was built unless you have a range of cars. like
JM1FD3317P0200016, was built in or around 12-91 while JM1FD3319P0203810 was built in 3/92.
you will notice the vin numbers work the same except the us ones have a bunch of extra crap, but the same info. your fd3s-110080 is our jm1fd331?m0110080.
the first number of the last 6, the 1 is the model year.
1 is 92, 2 is 93, 3 is 94 etc.
your best bet is to look at other parts of the car, the weels have a date code, as does some of the interior plastic
