Changing pilot bush diameter

I’m in the process of fitting a ford style TKX which has a 17mm pilot tip diameter, would it be doable to get a bushing machined for it instead of using the standard bearing? Otherwise input shaft needs to be machined down meaning the entire gearbox needs to be taken apart to get it out.

According to Vivid racing (https://www.vividracing.com/act-pilo...150731835.html) the stock pilot bearing has dimensions:
  • Inside Diameter: 0.591 in
  • Inside Diameter: 15 MM
  • Width: 0.682 in
  • Width: 17.32 MM
  • Outside Diameter: 0.787 in
  • Outside Diameter: 20 MM
You could buy a bronze bushing with the dimensions you're looking for from: https://asbbearings.com/collections/...metric-sleeves
ID: 17 mm
OD: 20 mm
Width: 10 mm
